Use the actual garment manufacturer's size chart whenever possible. Letter sizes are not universal across brands or styles.
U.S./Canada men's/unisex reference:
XS: Chest 31-34 in
S: Chest 34-37 in
M: Chest 38-41 in
L: Chest 42-45 in
XL: Chest 46-49 in
2XL: Chest 50-53 in
3XL: Chest 54-57 in
4XL: Chest 58-61 in
5XL: Chest 62-65 in

Women's fitted reference:
XS: U.S. 0-2
S: U.S. 2-4
M: U.S. 6-8
L: U.S. 8-10
XL: U.S. 10-14
2XL: U.S. 14-18
3XL: U.S. 18-22

Canada generally uses the same North American letter sizing conventions as the U.S. for many apparel brands. European numeric conversions vary by garment, gender, brand, and cut. For international customers, show body measurements in both inches and centimeters instead of relying only on country-to-country size conversion.
